Birthday Drama-dy

Dinner: i thought i was supposed to have dinner with my parents but both made their own plans. so i had ginseng chicken soup BY MYSELF AT HOME. i was consoling myself that it was okay cos it was already so hyped on saturday anyway and i was gonna meet the girls.

I had many birthday wishes by friends and it was really very sweet to know that random people actually do rembr haha.

I had another red dress which i bought for my bday party n i

thought i'll just wear it with my sandals.i like the open back thingy.

tada. lookin pretty for bday night out, i went to pick gina up from school.

settled for dinnner at boontongkee @river valley.

n they're funkyfunky .let me show u why.

they've got crowns embossed on their tablemat holders

they've got angpao like wet towelettes n it says in chinese to english translation

yoda was driving n she's damn cute , she text me" eh yoda cannot parallel park" so we decided to meet at zouk itself.

CHICKEN RICE before clubbing , BAD MOVE. ALL THAT GARLIc in the rice n chilli sauce. NOT SEAXY at all. hahaa so i found trevor tan and i hounded him for MINT.n he had listerine freshpak!!!! HE SAVED me day.THANK U trevor tan.

bday girl bought drinks for them and we went sha lala dancing at velvet. it was unusually crowded for a wed night since they were havin their 12th anniversary party before 11pm. There was a guy who kept throwing glances right, i thought he was a friend but he wasn't. n yeah thru out the whole night i think our paths crosssed abt 4 times???

i spent the entire night on the dancefloor with yoda gina and ang. arnd130am gina had to leave with ang cos she has work at8am the next day and it was just me n yohlie pohlie. 2 ang mohs and one chinese tried to make friends but we RAN away to the couch near the toilet for cover. they came to look for us and we had to tell them no nicely.

i was like " how come big eyes doesnt come say hello when he kept lookin right n i get these 2 spastic people talkin to me"

"yoda its my bday heck it im gonna create a chance mann"

N big eyes walks past n unto the dance floor. n me psuedo dancing queen was like "yes the dance floor..maybe i'll ask him for a dance"

but he wasnt at the dancefloor.. he was behind this wall and i walked past him. yES, big eyes SAid HELLO to me when i looked at him; ) wheeeeee

he introduces himself with a Uk accent, his name, job and blahblahblah we talked n chatted quite a bit. lets just call him "M".

Yoda was very nice, she says she'll leave me alone with him whle she go say hi to a few friends at zouk.

while warming up to each other , (are u still with me...ready for the drama part?), Yoda comes back hurriedly n tells me " SHIT sarah ur PARENTS R HERE!!!!!"

n turned around n within seconds my mom, dad n their friend was in front of me.

i felt like digging my own hole cos here i was making a new friend who was like 31 and im like" hey its my 21st bday night" and my parents turn uP on my oh so special day and ruins my "im so grown up" image. SO MUCH for turning 21 ms sarah lim.

my mom had a very angry face, she Eye fucked me and my dad n his friend hugged me n wished me happy bday.

" MOM what r u doin here?"

" we thought we'l come celebrate with u, we wanted to give u a surprise!!!"

"okaay , mom maybe u guys go ahead get drinks and we'll dance together k?"

so i cue-ed M to follow me where we can have proper closure to this lil meeting of ours at the corridor right outside the toilet of Velvet. n in the middle of like TALKINg, guess who must follow. MOM DAD N uncle n poor yoda. mom went BALLISTIC. (all 3 were high with alcohol)

"WHAT R DOIN WITH HIM HERE????

YOU CRIMINAL..do U KNOW WHAT R U DOING WITH MY DAUGHTER?"

but i was so blooody pissed off k

" MOM..u're high..pleaseee just GO BACK INSIDE"

" why didnt u introduce us to ur friend?"

" maybe becos I JUST GOT TO KNOW HIM n its not very nice of u to just DROP BY and surprise me JUST LIKE THAT?"

she was very upset n fiercely protective she wanted to come over and hit me or M i have no idea la.. dad held her down n his friend held me tight and meanwhile CONVENiENTLY GROpEd ME in front n behind. FUCK. okay i was FURIOUS. dad's friend gropes me he gets away with it n im makin a new friend who seems lke such a nice dude mn he's gettin hell from my parents.

I pushed the friend away and told him to bring my mom out while i talk it out with Dad.

Yoda tells M to leave cos its gettin a lil uncomfortable for him as well.

sarah: MOM WAS angry the moment she got there

dad: WHY r u raising ur voice at me???becos mom raised her voice at u?

sarah: WHy did she have to get so angry?WHAT DID I DO WRONG?@?@?@??@?
dad: cos u didnt introduce ur friend
sarah: rubbish. she was just upset
dad: whatever it is ..is everything okay?
sarah yes i was just SOCIALISING makin a new freind
dad: but u didnt intoduce us
sarah: becos he's a NEW FRIEND n i just got to know him??
dad: okaaay i'll go tke care of mommy k
sarah: yes please LEAVE NOw
sarah: AND DAD URFRIEND TOUCHED ME. HE TOUCHED MY BREAST AND ASS OKAY
what r u going to do about it?

dad: " did u drink?"

sarah: No

dad: WHY r u so uptight

sarah: becos i AM SO MAD!!

dad: stop being so hot headed like ur mother

sarah:" WHAT??? U guys didnt spend dinner with me n now u must come n RUIN MY BDAY NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!n ur friend JUST GROPED ME HE GROPED ME WHAT R GOING TO DO ABOUT IT "

i was just messing everything up cos i felt like crap and i wanted him to vanish at that very moment. as if it was an entire nightmare n i was just back in time talkin to M .

dad: " i'l definitely talk to uncle XX about it. i'[ll go attend to ur mom and we'll leave now"

a security guard was just next to us cos i guess they dont want us to fight but oh mygdness..he led me thru another exit " maybe u'll prefer to go out thru here then thru velvet"

n i knew my parents were goin to get the car so i took the left side n went to draw money with yoda from POSB. I WAS HUMILIATED> i WAS SCREAMIN MY LUNGS OUT.

I love my parents to death BUT NO THEY DUN JUST DROP BY AT VELVET N U KNOW ... SCREAM at any stranger guy.the last time they did drop by was when i was 19 n they went to members with me n alvin. oh gawd. THAT was terrible enough. i swore it was the first n last time. we can go pubs n have drinks. but NOT to this extent.

I was Dead sure i wasnt gonna see M again. EVER. he's prob thnking im some kinda nightmare.

argh.IM NOT COOL ANYMORE.

but no..he walked out with his friend.. and he tells me

" hey if u ever see an advertisement with a similar storyline about what just happned,u know where i got my inspiration from "

i apologised for the episode and i was really sorry he had to go thru the ordeal.

he said he's fine and he passed me his name card and he also asked for my number.( which i was waiting all night for righttttttttttttt so i gave : P )

" wha folks droppingby velvet.. u don't see my folks doing that hahahaha "

anyway he lives near my place like really near my place so i gave him a lift home. he said he didnt drive cos he was gonna drink alot. so yeah cool. at least he didnt avoid me, girls.. u know what i mean???

when i woke up Today. i felt like CRap. i felt like i was gonna be moral bashed at the table if i went downstairs. i was afraid world war 5 was gonna happen since world war 3 n 4 already striked pris weeks ago.

but i told myself to be cool about it n just be okaaay with whatever came my way. i trudged down the stairs and went to my daddy who was havin his eggs n newspapers n gave him a BIG Squeeze from behind.

"DADDDDDY!!!! r u okaaaay????"

" yes im okay but i don't kno about u and ur mom"

then i saw the mother.

"MOMMMY!!!!!!!!!!! hellO@!!! where r u going//??" i was too cheeeerful to deserve an earful. she asked me to drive her to the market to buy crabs.

okaay and the whole journey we just laaughed it offf.

she was like " oh apparently that M friend of urs shook my hand and apologised to me, he wanted to give me his namecard and tel no. so that u can contact him if anything. he use to study Law at NUS u know?"

oh. so that M dude actually talked to my mom. i guess he had to add in the " law " part to prove he was a lawabiding citizen n not some CRIMINAL haaha.

i shrugged n said " oh.. i didnt see him after u all left "

n we laughed about last night

" oh velvet is very nice. the people there nicer than the people at Babyface. babyface all quite beng beng.and the sofas are very comfortable yah?"

so that was my night. mom dad and a very poor thing of a dude. n me tryin to be all 21-ish.

what a bday night mann. dramamama.

at least i'll know i'll be having a nice sashimi meal soon.

so i typed THIS LOng email telllin pris n gina abtwhat happened. n pris is like WHA LAU EH WHY WASNT I THErE TO WITNESS DRAMA. ahaha silly girl.

n gina tells me she's not feelin happy atall. a lil depressed.n i felt a lil sad too.

so i delivered a cake to her office.

n it made her smile ; ) smile biG BIG n now everyone in the office wants to be my friend.
