2nd day in LA

13th feb in LA
We slept like pigs cos we were so tired
i had the window bed so the sun was shining so brightly in my face i thought i was gonna have heat stroke i tumbled to pris's bed after she left for sch to sleep some more.
when i open the blinds i see a huge trampoline waiting for us to jump on it

so i ate the remainder of nicole's fat strawberry with chocolate
this is the front porch

we headed down to pick up Jackson and his house mate DarreN wanted to join us since he didn’t have sch.
We headed down to Lil’ TokyO!
Lil Tokyo was littered with Japanese signs and Japanese grocery stores and Japanese restaurants…something similar to the concept of Chinatown.
We went to Hide Restaurant , very quant, very authentic.
Queued up for a while and we were seated at the sushi bar.





We ordered the usual: first, salmon and tuna sashimi.
When the sushi chef placed the lil morsels on my platter, I was elated. It looked exactly like Japan Hour, where the host would eat the sushi with his hands and cram the entire piece in his mouth cos u cant eat it bit by bit…

The girls don’t eat much variety of raw fsh , so they ordered tempura,


DYNAMITE(above) which was their special,
a lot of cream cheese and mushroom with scallops.

And the UNAGI was superlicious crazy
Grilled so nicely that the outside was crispy and the inside was sweet and omigdness
Even gina had to eat it even though she doesn’t eat eel.

It was so different frm the fat n soggy unagi we get at the supermkts and at Sushi Tei.
I was like “ Pris! How can u eat sushi in Singapore after u’ve tried this? Why didn’t u tell us u
have such a gd life here?”

i had almost 13 types of sushi and i wanted to cry
it was SOOO good .mmmmmmmmmmm.

its a nissan 350z, although many say its a lousy car, hello i dont mind driving it thank u very much.especially the soft top ones.
we wanted to drink Bobba( our equivalent of bubble tea)
so he drove me over n the girls walked but they never turned up so they left both of us stranded.


we waited for quite a while and we were just talkin and i was like
hmmm why isnt gina n pris here yet?
BECAUSE:


anything with kate moss is cool. so says burberrys and versace and all major labels


gina stumbled upon this shop with pris and it had yoshitomo nara's stuff
(she's crazy over them)

next to bobba tea shop was this bank

"dont step in until u are ready.we dont help those who dont make up their mind!"

then we had to find a post office to mail the chinese new year cookies my aunt asked me to courier to my cousin n aunt

it was rows and rows of shophouses just like a village but the shops were like anthropologie, urban outfitters, levis, guess ,old navy,abercrombie nfitch,starbucks,american eagle outfitters....

after dinner, they decide to take us for a spin thru hollywood itself
the kodak theatre where the grammys r held
we just drove past all these so my camera prob missed alot of details



but i didnt really like hollywood bl.
hmm.
we drove up to the top of the area, somethin like the peak in hkg and the VIEW Was amazing. there was a jap restuarant located on the top and it had a bonzai garden overlookin the city view.
the moment gina n i got down, we talked about shoes while we took in the view and counted the no. of airplanes in the sky hahaha

then we realise we always talk about clothes, shoes and what nots.
the "hollywood" sign was not lighted u at all, so we didnt see it and we headed for home where we crashed like very sleepy monsters.
somethin about drivin in LA< the rides r sooo long and there r virtually no toilets along the highway so we had to hold all the pee in. our bladders must have been overstressed mann. superbladders.

i also have a very bad habit i love to read signs aloud, so while we were drivin i wld read it out and say something to myself. usually gina and pris wld reply me and be nice but this time gina wld go like " sarah r u talkin to urself again?" cos yoda told her that i talk to myself alot... so mean.

n before we headed to sleep, gina n i talked abt clothes again hehe
