convents girls are steadfast in duty

there is a kid next to me in her convent uniform
i am tempted to ask her which pri sch is she from
but i dont wish to disturb her scribbling away
she is seated on the chair, her legs barely touching the floor and her shoes are the strappy BMX2000s found at bata
she is damn CUTE
she is writing chinese words in her little square shaped exercise books
i hated doing those pink coloured zhuo ye ben zi when i was in pri sch
i would leave it to the last minute and go into a frenzy just writing and writing chinese words on dog-earred pages
she is waiting for her daddy to finish work
her dad works at the book cafe as a senior manager

she's so tiny
i wish i was tiny again even
i think my parents wished even more that i was tiny again.
it's so painful to have your kid to grow up.
